I called Lemons due to our A/C unit not cooling properly. We have two A/C units for the house. We run the blower fan constantly for circulation and filtration. It had been mostly comfortable until the extreme heat in recent weeks. We believed it was the downstairs unit that was not keeping up. The technician, Martin Williams, came out to diagnose the problem. He called when he was 20 minutes away which was appreciated. When he arrived, he was polite and friendly. He did a thorough diagnosis of the system. As he worked, he explained what he was checking and his experience was obvious. He first changed the furnace air filter which was a dirty and possibly restricting the air flow. He then checked the indoor coil to see if it needed cleaning. From there, he checked the air flow which was within specifications. He moved on to the outdoor unit from there. He quickly determined the compressor was not running. After removing the panel, he found some wiring had been disconnected – likely when I had it serviced by a different company last year. After reconnecting the wire, the compressor began running. However, he still ran additional checks of the unit and determined that the refrigerant level was also low. Refrigerant was added and the system is now operating properly. I felt the price of the service was fair, the knowledge of the technician was excellent, I would not hesitate to call Lemons again or recommend them to others. Thanks!
